| Bio: | I BEAT MY THESIS! :D Anyone can change the world with something great, but I will do it with random and seemingly useless crap! Just you watch me. I graduated from New College of Florida in May of 2008, with my BA in Classics. I wrote my senior thesis on classical symposia at New College, the only undergrad school I know where students have to successfully complete a thesis in order to graduate. My thesis analyzed five major aspects of the classical symposium and contrasted the portrayal of these aspects in Plato's Symposium, Xenophon's Symposium, and Petronius Arbiter's Satyrica. I may go to grad school in a few years. I'm looking at eventually teaching Latin and possibly another language (Greek or German) in high school, or maybe college after all. And you never know; maybe something else will pop up which works out better in the long run for me. Apparently it is the tradition of classics majors to end up very likely in something unrelated to classics, but still be successful. My friends list is made up primarily of people (read: roleplayers) I know IRL, but if you think we have things in common, or if you know me and want to know more about how I am making life more interesting, drop me a line and I'll probably add you. I'd like to give some warning that I discuss a broad range of topics suitable for mature audiences, but not all people over 18. In this journal, all sexualities, various religions or lack thereof, and all manner of language (foreign and domestic, polite and taboo) will be covered. I love New College; it's been the best experience of my life and I wouldn't trade it for all the Ivy League in the world.
